President-elect Donald Trump pledged Sunday to declassify remaining records on the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr., promising increased government transparency. Speaking at a rally in Washington, D.C., Trump stated, “We will also reverse the overclassification of government documents,” with records expected to be released “in the coming days.”
Trump’s ally, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has supported conspiracy theories about CIA involvement in JFK’s assassination, has been nominated to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. Kennedy previously stated, “There is overwhelming evidence that the CIA was involved,” though the agency denies these claims.
Trump also vowed swift executive action if re-elected, saying, “Every radical and foolish executive order of the Biden administration will be repealed within hours.” He dismissed calls to stagger such actions, insisting on immediate implementation.
