Former President Donald Trump reiterated his hardline stance on immigration, promising to expel over 1 million immigrants who have entered the U.S. through two key Biden administration programs if he wins reelection. Speaking to Fox News, Trump criticized the programs aimed at streamlining asylum processes and reducing border chaos, saying, “Get ready to leave because you’re going to be going out real fast.”

The Biden administration’s programs include the CBP One app, which allows migrants to schedule asylum appointments at the border, used by 813,000 people since January 2023. Another program, launched last year, permits 30,000 individuals monthly from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to enter the U.S. with a sponsor, resulting in 530,000 arrivals.

Republicans argue these initiatives bypass immigration laws, and several GOP-led states have sued to halt them. Trump and his advisors have outlined specific plans for mass deportations, but such efforts would face significant legal and logistical hurdles.
