Former President Donald Trump threatened on Saturday to prosecute individuals he accuses of fraud in the 2020 election if he wins the 2024 presidential race. Trump, who continues to claim without evidence that the 2020 election was rigged, warned on Truth Social that those involved in “rampant cheating” would face long prison sentences. He said legal action would target lawyers, donors, election officials, and others.
Despite multiple legal challenges, courts, including the Supreme Court, have rejected Trump’s claims of widespread election fraud. Trump faces multiple indictments over his attempts to overturn the 2020 results.
