Donald Trump blamed President Biden’s immigration policies following Sunday night’s flamethrower attack in Boulder, Colorado, which injured several people attending a rally for Israeli hostages. While no deaths were reported, Trump used the incident to promote his past immigration policies and call for stronger border enforcement.

The suspect, 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, entered the United States in August 2022 on a B2 visa and applied for asylum the following month. His visa expired in February 2023, and he is now unlawfully present in the country, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

“This is yet another example of why we must keep our Borders SECURE,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, saying Soliman entered through Biden’s “Open Border Policy” and should be deported under a “TRUMP Policy.”

The attack occurred during a rally calling for the release of Hamas-held hostages in Gaza. Trump reiterated his longstanding focus on deporting undocumented immigrants and limiting asylum, policies he says are necessary for public safety.
