Former President Donald Trump suggested that his Vice President, Mike Pence, was responsible for the violence on January 6th during the Capitol insurrection. Trump made the remarks in response to recent criticism from Pence, who condemned the violence during a speech in New Hampshire.
In a statement, Trump accused Pence of not having the “courage” to reject the election results and claimed that the violence could have been prevented if Pence had sent the electoral college results back to the states for further review.
Pence, who was presiding over the Senate during the certification of the election results, has been widely praised for his actions on that day.
