President Donald Trump indicated he may classify individuals involved in violent protests at Tesla dealerships as “domestic terrorists.” Speaking at the White House on Tuesday, Trump vowed to take action against those responsible, stating, “We’re going to catch them… and they’re going to go through hell.”

The president’s remarks came amid ongoing demonstrations targeting Tesla showrooms and vehicles, with some protesters vandalizing cars and dealerships. In Colorado, an individual was arrested for spray-painting “Nazi” on a Tesla sign and using Molotov cocktails.

Trump defended Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk, who also serves as a senior adviser in his administration. Musk has drawn scrutiny for his role in implementing mass layoffs and budget cuts through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Tesla’s stock has dropped over 50% since December.

To show support, Trump announced he would purchase a Tesla, praising Musk for his contributions to American industry.
