President Donald Trump on Friday defended the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, sharing a photo of his tattooed hand on Truth Social. Trump claimed the tattoos — including a marijuana leaf, skull, and the letters “MS-13” — are proof that Abrego Garcia is a gang member.

“This is the hand of the man that the Democrats feel should be brought back… even though he’s got MS-13 tattooed onto his knuckles,” Trump wrote. He also cited courts that allegedly confirmed Abrego Garcia’s gang ties and claimed the man had “beat up his wife.”

Abrego Garcia was mistakenly deported to El Salvador despite a 2019 court order barring his removal. His family and legal team deny any MS-13 affiliation. A Supreme Court ruling ordered the Trump administration to “facilitate” his return, which it has refused to do.

Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), who met with Abrego Garcia this week in El Salvador, accused the Trump administration of lying and disobeying federal court orders. “Put up in court or shut up,” Van Hollen said Friday.

I have some doubt that the tattoos Trump is showing belong to Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Trump has a well proven reputation for being untruthful.
