During a satellite address to the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual conference in Las Vegas, former President Donald Trump claimed Israel would cease to exist if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the 2024 presidential election. He stated, “You’re not going to have an Israel if she becomes president…Israel will no longer exist.” Trump urged Jewish voters to support him, criticizing the Biden-Harris administration for its handling of U.S.-Israel relations amid Israel’s conflict with Hamas.
“If they win, Israel is gone,” he warned. Trump also suggested that Jewish voters who back Harris should “have their head examined,” repeating past claims that Democrats “hate Israel.”
In response, the Harris campaign criticized Trump, accusing him of demeaning Jewish Americans and citing his past controversial remarks and associations. Harris spokesperson Morgan Finkelstein emphasized her commitment to Israel’s security, saying Harris “has an unwavering commitment to the security of Israel and will always stand up for its right to defend itself.”
Trump also expressed condolences for Hersh Goldberg-Polin, an Israeli-American killed by Hamas, though he initially misstated his name as “Hersh Goldman.”
