At an event in Madison Square Garden, former President Donald Trump stated that he would allow Robert F. Kennedy Jr. extensive authority over health, food, and medicine if he wins a second term. “I’m going to let him go wild on health… on the food… on the medicines,” Trump told supporters. However, he clarified that Kennedy would not oversee oil policy, calling it “the liquid gold under our feet.”
Kennedy, who endorsed Trump after ending his own independent presidential campaign in August, has been outspoken on health issues, often drawing criticism for his anti-vaccine views. While he denies opposing vaccines outright, Kennedy has made controversial claims regarding vaccine safety and efficacy, which he has occasionally contradicted in public statements.
Kennedy’s proposed role aligns with his Trump campaign initiative, “Make America Healthy Again,” though his influence on health policy in a future Trump administration is viewed cautiously by medical experts.
