President-elect Donald Trump announced he will exclude individuals tied to Republican rivals or critics from positions in his administration. On Truth Social, Trump stated over 1,000 hires have been made for the incoming administration, emphasizing their qualifications and loyalty.

Trump specified that figures such as former Vice President Mike Pence, Rep. Liz Cheney, and Nikki Haley, as well as former administration officials like John Bolton and James Mattis, should not be recommended for roles. Pence and Haley opposed Trump in the 2024 GOP primary, and the Cheneys endorsed Vice President Harris in November.

This move highlights Trump’s preference for loyalty, signaling that dissenters from past or current political conflicts are unwelcome.
