President-elect Donald Trump confirmed that former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will not be part of his incoming administration. In a Truth Social post, Trump stated, “I will not be inviting former Ambassador Nikki Haley, or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump Administration, which is currently in formation.” He thanked both for their previous service.

Haley, who ran against Trump in this year’s Republican primaries, dropped out after Super Tuesday and delayed her endorsement of him until the GOP convention. Pompeo, previously suggested as a potential secretary of defense, served as CIA director and secretary of state during Trump’s first term.

Following his win over Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump has begun forming his Cabinet, appointing campaign manager Susie Wiles as chief of staff.
