Former President Donald Trump lashed out at his ex-chief of staff John Kelly, calling him a “lowlife” after Kelly made critical remarks about him in The Atlantic. Kelly, a retired Marine Corps general, alleged that Trump praised Nazi leader Adolf Hitler’s generals during his presidency and expressed admiration for the “good things” Hitler did. He also confirmed previous reports that Trump referred to fallen U.S. soldiers as “losers and suckers” and labeled the former president a “fascist.”

In response, Trump took to Truth Social, dismissing Kelly’s claims as fabrications driven by “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” He accused Kelly of lying about their time in the White House and claimed that Kelly had become ineffective over time, asserting that Kelly’s advice was no longer sought. Trump also referenced a conversation with Kelly’s wife, who supposedly praised the former president.
