During a press conference at the White House on Wednesday, President Donald Trump dismissed media reports about an alleged high-level meeting on the Jeffrey Epstein case as “total bullsh*t,” calling the story a diversion by political opponents.

The comment followed a question about a CNN report claiming that Vice President JD Vance planned a dinner at his residence with senior Trump administration officials to discuss strategy on the Epstein investigation. “It’s a hoax… just a way of trying to divert attention to something that’s total bullsh*t,” Trump said.

Vance also pushed back on the report, calling it “completely fake news,” and said the journalist behind it should “get better sources.” A spokesperson for Vance, William Martin, also issued a statement calling the story “pure fiction.”

CNN’s reporting cited three anonymous sources who said the meeting would include Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, and Deputy AG Todd Blanche, focusing on coordinating a response to Epstein-related records and allegations.

Trump’s comments came after an event announcing a $600 billion investment by Apple into U.S. manufacturing.
