Former President Donald Trump took aim at Fox News on Monday after the network announced Vice President Kamala Harris would give her first-ever sit-down interview to the outlet. Posting on Truth Social, Trump mocked Harris and called the network “weak and soft,” criticizing Fox News for what he saw as lenient treatment of Democrats. He referred to Harris as “Lyin’ Kamala” and noted that while Bret Baier is seen as “Fair & Balanced,” he believed the network has grown too soft.

This came after Harris faced pressure for weeks to engage with mainstream media, leading to her upcoming interview with Baier, which will air Wednesday evening. Republicans had previously criticized Harris’s major interview on CNN in August, alleging it was edited, which the network denied.

Harris has recently appeared on several traditional and nontraditional platforms, including ABC’s The View, CBS’s 60 Minutes, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Her campaign has questioned Trump’s absence from mainstream media, noting that it has been a month since his last interview with such outlets.
