At a rally in Atlanta, former President Donald Trump called former First Lady Michelle Obama “nasty,” responding to recent criticisms she directed at him while campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris. “I always tried to be so nice and respectful,” Trump said, claiming Obama had made a “big mistake” by criticizing him.

Michelle Obama’s comments were made during a Michigan rally, where she criticized Trump for “gross incompetence” and further highlighted her frustrations, saying, “I hope that you’ll forgive me if I’m a little angry that we are indifferent to his erratic behavior, his obvious mental decline… all of this while we pick apart Kamala’s answers from interviews that he doesn’t even have the courage to do.”

With the election just over a week away, this exchange highlights an increasingly personal tone as the campaigns intensify.
