The White House announced that President-elect Donald Trump will meet with President Joe Biden at the White House on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Biden recently called Trump to offer his congratulations and assured a smooth transition of power, pledging also to attend Trump’s inauguration.
This upcoming meeting contrasts with the 2020 transition when Trump did not concede to Biden, and the two did not meet at the White House. Trump’s 2024 win was called Wednesday after securing 301 electoral votes, including six swing states, with Arizona as the last state pending confirmation. In Arizona, Trump leads Harris with 53.7% to her 46.3%.
