In a wide-ranging Truth Social post on Saturday, Donald Trump acknowledged the existence of the long-speculated Jeffrey Epstein files and claimed they were “created” by his political opponents — including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and officials from the Biden administration. Trump’s comments appeared to confirm he has read or been briefed on the documents, even as the Department of Justice previously stated no Epstein “client list” exists.

“They created the Epstein Files, just like they created the FAKE Hillary Clinton/Christopher Steele Dossier,” Trump wrote, comparing the documents to past investigations he has long dismissed as hoaxes.

The president also lashed out at internal critics who have questioned Attorney General Pam Bondi’s handling of the files. “We’re on one team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening,” he said, defending Bondi and urging allies to stop focusing on Epstein, “somebody that nobody cares about.”

Legal experts note: While Trump’s post stops short of confirming whether he is named in the Epstein files, his defensive tone and repeated references to their contents have intensified speculation. He offered no evidence that the files were fabricated.

The White House has not issued further comment on the matter.
