A group of truckers, showing solidarity with former President Donald Trump, have initiated a boycott of deliveries to New York City. This action comes in response to a $355 million fine imposed on Trump in a fraud case. The boycott was sparked by a trucker known as Chicago Ray, who after posting a video on social media, declared that some truckers are halting goods transportation to the city as a form of protest against the Manhattan Supreme Court’s recent ruling.

In the video, which gained significant attention online, Ray shared conversations with approximately ten drivers who reportedly agreed to refuse loads to New York City starting Monday. The move showcases a collective effort among truckers to express their dissatisfaction with the court’s decision. Ray highlighted the logistical challenges of entering New York City, emphasizing the depth of commitment among truckers to this cause.

The legal judgment against Trump, issued by Justice Arthur Engoron, found the former president guilty of inflating his net worth to obtain favorable loan terms over a decade. The ruling not only involves the hefty fine but also bars Trump from holding officer or director positions in New York companies for a span of three years. Trump has criticized the case as “election interference,” suggesting the ruling could have broader negative impacts on New York City.
