President-elect Donald Trump is reportedly set to be named Time magazine’s 2024 “Person of the Year,” according to Politico. The announcement is expected Thursday morning, coinciding with Trump’s scheduled appearance at the New York Stock Exchange to ring the opening bell.

Time has not confirmed the report, stating only that its choice will be revealed on Dec. 12. On its website, the magazine described Trump’s election victory as “a stunning political comeback,” highlighting his ability to reshape the electorate and win the popular vote, turning every swing state red.

The recognition marks Trump’s second time as Time’s “Person of the Year”; he was first awarded the title in 2016 after his initial presidential victory. This year’s win makes Trump the oldest president-elect in U.S. history and the first convicted felon to hold the office, following a New York jury’s conviction on 34 counts of fraud.
