A New York judge postponed Steve Bannon’s state fraud trial from December 9 to February 25. The former Trump adviser faces charges of defrauding donors to the “We Build the Wall” campaign.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg charged Bannon in 2022 with conspiracy, money laundering, and fraud. Bannon pleaded not guilty, and his lawyers are seeking a venue change, with the judge open to the request. Prosecutors have requested juror anonymity, though no decision has been made.
Previously, two of Bannon’s associates were imprisoned for a similar federal fundraising scheme. Trump pardoned Bannon in 2021 before leaving office.
