Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) is calling on Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel to testify before Congress after a Wall Street Journal report revealed they briefed President Donald Trump in May that his name appeared in Jeffrey Epstein’s files.

“Now we know Pam Bondi informed Trump in May that his name was in those files,” Schiff said in a video posted on X. “But in July, Trump denied being informed… We need to bring Bondi and Patel into the Judiciary Committee to testify about this now.”

The WSJ report cited senior officials who said the meeting was part of a routine briefing. They also informed Trump that further Epstein files would not be released, citing graphic material and sensitive victim data.

Trump has denied the contents of the files and recently sued the Journal over its claim he sent Epstein a lewd birthday letter in 2003. “It’s not my language. It’s not my words,” Trump told the outlet.

The renewed controversy has sparked bipartisan calls for transparency. Schiff labeled Trump’s denial “a lie” and urged the administration to release the full files. Ghislaine Maxwell is expected to meet with DOJ officials soon, while House members consider subpoenaing her for testimony.
