Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) expressed interest in serving in a second Trump administration but said she has not been contacted. Speaking with NewsNation’s Leland Vittert, she mentioned her passion for energy independence but noted no offers had been made.

Palin, the 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee, suggested “gatekeepers” within the administration may be blocking her, pointing out that she was denied credentials for the 2024 GOP convention. “I’m the only living Republican VP or presidential nominee who supported Trump, and even I couldn’t get in,” she said.

She warned against officials within the administration failing to implement Trump’s policies, predicting early turnover if his agenda, including immigration and tax cuts, is delayed.

Reflecting on her political experience, Palin emphasized the importance of local government, saying it fosters accountability. She also warned against “blind loyalty” in politics, stressing the need for shared vision without unquestioning obedience.

Trump’s Cabinet confirmations remain ongoing, with 16 nominees approved so far.
