Stewart Rhodes, founder of the Oath Keepers, visited the Capitol complex on Wednesday after President Trump commuted his sentence for seditious conspiracy related to the Jan. 6, 2021, riot. Rhodes was seen in the Longworth House Office Building with a group, advocating for the release of Jeremy Brown, another Oath Keeper imprisoned on federal weapons charges. Rhodes stated that Brown was not included in Trump’s pardon of nearly 1,600 people.

Rhodes and Ivan Raiklin, a retired Green Beret, met with Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R-Fla.) to discuss Brown’s release. Rhodes expressed regret for his past comments about the Capitol attack but maintained he did not regret his actions. His presence at the Capitol caused a stir among staff, with some expressing disapproval of his visit. Rhodes hopes for a full pardon for himself and others involved in the Jan. 6 events.
