Planned Parenthood plans to spend $40 million to support President Joe Biden and leading congressional Democrats in the upcoming November elections. The organization aims to mobilize voters upset by Republican efforts to further restrict abortion access, targeting key states including Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Montana, New Hampshire, and New York.

The campaign will employ volunteer and paid canvassing, phone banking, and a range of advertising methods. Jenny Lawson, executive director of Planned Parenthood Votes, stated, “Abortion will be the message of this election, and it will be how we energize voters.”

Planned Parenthood previously spent $45 million in the 2020 presidential election and $50 million in the 2022 midterms. This year, their focus includes states with ballot measures on abortion and key local races, such as those seeking to influence state legislatures and judicial elections.

In contrast, SBA Pro-Life America plans to spend $92 million targeting voters in eight battleground states. Both national and local Planned Parenthood organizations will be active, aiming to support pro-abortion rights candidates and infrastructure.
