Republican vice-presidential candidate JD Vance was refused entry to Primanti Bros in North Versailles, Pennsylvania, where he was set to address supporters. A restaurant worker informed Vance and the press that they were not allowed inside. Videos showed that customers left the restaurant in protest after his denial. Vance later addressed his supporters in the parking lot, urging them not to hold it against the business, which he praised.
Supporters on social media called for a boycott of Primanti Bros, while the restaurant explained that the situation was a misunderstanding, attributing it to staff confusion due to the unplanned nature of the campaign stop. The restaurant later welcomed Vance and his team inside after resolving the issue.
Vance’s campaign has faced previous controversies, including awkward public interactions and debunked claims about Haitian immigrants. Despite these issues, Vance continues his campaign alongside Donald Trump for the upcoming election.
