Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) criticized former President Trump’s recent claims that President Biden might demand the Democratic nomination at the convention. Trump’s baseless prediction follows Biden’s withdrawal from the race and endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris after a challenging debate.
In an MSNBC interview, Pelosi dismissed Trump’s remarks as “pathetic” and “insanity.” She emphasized, “We don’t agonize, we organize,” urging Democrats to focus on key issues affecting Americans rather than Trump’s comments. Pelosi described Trump as a “projector,” accusing others of his own faults and called for continued efforts to address the needs of the American people, as Biden did.
Pelosi’s longstanding feud with Trump includes notable incidents such as tearing up his State of the Union address in 2020. Despite allegations, Pelosi denied pushing Biden out of the race. Harris’s campaign, gaining momentum, has recently surpassed Trump in the polls, marking the first lead since before the primaries.
