Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) engaged in a heated argument with a constituent who questioned her about town halls while she was shopping at a makeup store.

The South Carolina Republican, who has previously hosted town halls, posted a video of the incident on social media. In it, a man presses Mace about when she will hold her next event. Mace becomes visibly frustrated, insisting she holds town halls regularly and accusing the man of harassment.

“You’re always invited,” Mace said, before shifting the conversation to her support for gay marriage, which the man said was unrelated to his question.

The argument escalated, with both parties exchanging profanities. Mace called the man “fing crazy” and told him to “stay the f away from me.” She later posted about the encounter, describing him as an “unhinged lunatic” and saying she wouldn’t back down.

The exchange highlights growing tensions between lawmakers and constituents as Republicans face pressure over their reluctance to hold town halls during Trump’s second term.
