Elon Musk’s political action committee is offering Wisconsin voters $100 to sign a petition opposing “activist judges,” aligning with President Trump’s ongoing campaign against the judiciary. The effort targets Wisconsin’s April 1 Supreme Court election, which will decide the ideological balance of the state’s high court.
Two Musk-funded groups, America PAC and Building America’s Future, have spent nearly $20 million supporting Republican candidate Brad Schimel. His opponent, Democrat Susan Crawford, has received backing from progressive donors including George Soros and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker.
The petition states, “I’m rejecting the actions of activist judges who impose their own views,” and supports a judiciary focused on interpreting rather than legislating. While Musk’s team won’t know how voters cast their ballots, they will collect contact data for future outreach.
This isn’t the first time Musk has used petitions to support political causes. In 2024, his PAC launched a $1 million giveaway tied to a petition campaign in Pennsylvania. Musk was the top donor to Trump’s campaign and plans to contribute another $100 million ahead of the 2026 midterms.
