Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are inviting applicants to join the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), announced by President-elect Trump. The department, which will operate “outside of government,” aims to streamline bureaucracy and cut costs. Applicants are asked to submit resumes via the X platform, with Musk and Ramaswamy personally reviewing the top 1%.

DOGE has drawn widespread interest but seeks “super high-IQ small-government revolutionaries” for unpaid, 80+ hour workweeks. Musk described the role as “tedious” and “enemy-making,” while Ramaswamy contrasted it with government inefficiency.

Karoline Leavitt, a Trump-Vance transition spokesperson, praised Musk as a “genius” and stated Trump is committed to staffing DOGE to assess government functionality under Musk and Ramaswamy’s guidance.

Trump introduced DOGE earlier this week to streamline government operations, but Musk and Ramaswamy’s authority and the initiative’s scope remain uncertain.
