The Tesla Cybertruck explosion outside Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas early Wednesday is being investigated as a potential terrorist attack. Authorities identified Matthew Alan Livelsberger as the renter of the vehicle, though the identity of the deceased occupant remains unknown. FBI agents searched a Colorado Springs residence linked to the case, while seven bystanders suffered minor injuries.

The explosion occurred hours after a deadly New Orleans truck attack, with both vehicles rented through Turo. Investigators are exploring possible connections but have found no links to ISIS or other groups. Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed the blast was caused by fireworks or a bomb in the truck’s bed, not the vehicle itself.

Eric Trump thanked law enforcement for their swift response, while Turo confirmed no criminal background for either renter.
