Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) raised $782,155 in the third quarter, breaking his previous record as he led a high-profile campaign demanding the full release of files related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. His campaign reported $2 million in cash on hand after spending roughly $506,000, much of it on early media buys.
Massie, often at odds with GOP leadership, has opposed major legislation, including government funding bills and President Donald Trump’s “Big, Beautiful bill.” Trump has repeatedly criticized Massie and vowed to back a super PAC aimed at unseating him in 2026, calling him “weak” and “ineffective” on Truth Social.
Massie co-sponsored bipartisan legislation with Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) to force a vote on the Epstein records’ release. Democrats allege House Speaker Mike Johnson’s delay in swearing in Arizona Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva is tied to efforts to block the petition’s final signature.
