MAGA activist Laura Loomer is publicly pressuring Attorney General Pam Bondi to resign over the Trump administration’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, intensifying internal Republican conflict. Loomer accused Bondi of damaging Donald Trump’s image and creating a “PR crisis,” citing her failure to release more information about Epstein’s death and alleged connections.
“Pam Blondi is very damaging to President Trump’s image,” Loomer wrote Friday on X, calling for FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino to demand Bondi’s resignation. Axios reported that Bongino skipped work Friday following a clash with Bondi, though this remains unconfirmed.
White House spokesperson Harrison Fields denied reports of discord, saying, “Any attempt to sow division within this team is baseless.” Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche also defended the DOJ and FBI’s joint memo, stating all relevant leadership signed off.
The DOJ concluded this week that Epstein’s 2019 death was a suicide and that no “client list” exists—disappointing conspiracy theorists and fueling far-right backlash.
While Loomer continues to influence Trump’s base and has met with senior officials, her extreme views have led some Republicans to warn of political fallout ahead of the 2024 election.
