A leaked video of a phone call between Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. offers a behind-the-scenes look into Trump’s attempts to persuade Kennedy to join his camp. The video, shared on social media by journalist Meridith McGraw, shows Trump discussing vaccines and recounting his recent call with President Joe Biden.
Trump praises Kennedy’s anti-vaccine stance and suggests that collaborating with him would be mutually beneficial, saying, “I would love you to do something. And I think it’ll be so good for you and so big for you. And we’re going to win.”
Kennedy, an independent candidate, quickly apologized for the leak, explaining on X (formerly Twitter) that he was recording with an in-house videographer and regretted not stopping the recording. “I am mortified that this was posted,” Kennedy wrote.
In the call, Trump describes the bullet wound from the recent assassination attempt, saying it felt like “the world’s largest mosquito” and highlighting the toughness of the AR-15-type weapon used, which Biden seeks to ban.
