Far-right activist and Trump ally Laura Loomer called Sunday for the appointment of a special counsel to investigate the handling of Jeffrey Epstein’s case files. In comments to Politico’s Playbook, Loomer criticized Attorney General Pam Bondi’s transparency and said removing her from the matter might restore public confidence.

Her comments follow a Department of Justice and FBI memo released last week asserting Epstein had no “client list” and died by suicide in 2019. The findings have sparked outrage among Trump supporters who long suspected foul play and believed high-profile names would be revealed.

Bondi, who previously suggested she possessed a client list, has faced sharp criticism from conservative media and figures like Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino, reportedly upset over the DOJ’s management of the case. Despite internal tensions, President Trump defended Bondi on Truth Social, calling her work “FANTASTIC” and dismissing the controversy as “selfish people” attacking his “PERFECT Administration” over Epstein.
