Lara Trump, co-Chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), announced that the RNC will deploy both poll watchers and individuals who can physically handle ballots on Election Day. This follows the lifting of a 40-year moratorium on the RNC training people to work in polling locations and tabulation centers.
The RNC and former President Trump’s campaign recently launched an “election integrity program,” deploying over 100,000 volunteers and attorneys across every battleground state. The program aims to ensure that Republican poll watchers are present whenever a ballot is cast or counted.
Despite alleged controversies surrounding the 2020 election, Lara Trump emphasized that the RNC is “leaving nothing to chance” in the upcoming election. The former president echoed this sentiment, stating the importance of having the right people to count the ballots on Election Day.
