North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has vowed to implement a strong anti-U.S. strategy in the coming years as President-elect Trump prepares to begin his second term. Speaking at a five-day Workers’ Party meeting, Kim said North Korea would pursue “the toughest anti-U.S. counteraction” to protect its national interests and security.

Kim criticized the U.S. as “the most reactionary state” and accused its alliance with South Korea and Japan of forming a nuclear military bloc. The North’s Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) emphasized Kim’s view of the U.S. as a significant threat, outlining the path North Korea should take in response.

Trump, who previously met Kim three times to discuss North Korea’s nuclear program during his first term, is set to return to office. While they once developed a personal rapport, with Trump claiming they “fell in love,” their talks collapsed in 2019.

Since then, North Korea has intensified weapons testing, and Kim has escalated his rhetoric against the U.S. Meanwhile, the U.S. has strengthened its alliance with South Korea in response to these developments.
