Vice President Kamala Harris is set to begin a four-day “New Way Forward” campaign tour across major swing states following the Democrat debate with Republican Donald Trump. The tour will feature a new TV ad, rallies, and events aimed at key voter groups, culminating with the start of Hispanic Heritage Month on Sept. 15.
The Harris campaign hopes to win over undecided voters ahead of early voting for the Nov. 5 election. Michael Tyler, Harris’ communications director, said, “We are blitzing the battlegrounds and leaving it all out on the field.”
Trump has also intensified his outreach, recently holding rallies and interviews. He vowed on social media to target those he views as involved in election misconduct.
Harris will begin her tour Thursday in North Carolina, while her running mate, Tim Walz, will campaign in Michigan. Their spouses will also campaign in various states, and a new Harris ad will highlight her middle-class tax cuts, prescription drug reforms, and housing policies.
