Jury selection for Trump’s New York trial resumed, with two of the seven jurors dismissed by Judge Merchan. Juror No. 2 expressed concerns about her impartiality after being identified publicly, leading to her dismissal. Merchan agreed with Trump’s defense on the importance of prospective jurors’ information, directing the press not to report their answers.

Juror No. 4 was dismissed due to questions about a past arrest and a corruption inquiry involving his wife. The jury consists of individuals from various backgrounds, including law, teaching, and sales.

Of the 96 jurors questioned on Thursday, 57 were dismissed for various reasons. The questionnaire included questions about their connections to Trump and his campaign. Seven more jurors and alternates are needed before the trial can proceed.
