Jeff Bezos, Amazon founder and owner of The Washington Post, publicly congratulated President-elect Donald Trump on his election win, calling it an “extraordinary political comeback.” Posting on X, Bezos wished Trump success in “leading and uniting” the country.

Bezos’s statement comes after his recent controversial decision to bar The Washington Post from endorsing any candidate in the 2024 election. Trump had previously referenced media decisions to skip endorsements, saying, “They’re saying, ‘This Democrat’s no good…’ They just don’t want to say it,” suggesting he saw the move as a tacit endorsement of his leadership.
