Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has appointed Gilad Zwick as his new media advisor. Zwick, who is a journalist with a conservative Israeli TV station, has previously tweeted critically against US President Joe Biden, calling him “unfit” to rule and suggesting that he was “slowly but surely destroying America”.
Zwick has also expressed support for Donald Trump’s false claims of election rigging.
This appointment comes at a time when US-Israel relations are already strained due to a contentious Israeli government plan to overhaul the judiciary and the government’s ultranationalist character.
