House Republicans have subpoenaed Kevin O’Connor, personal physician to former President Biden, as part of a deepening investigation into Biden’s cognitive health. House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) issued the subpoena following revelations in the new book Original Sin by Alex Thompson and Jake Tapper, which outlines alleged signs of Biden’s cognitive decline.

Comer also requested testimony from nine former Biden aides, including Neera Tanden, Anita Dunn, and Ron Klain, aiming to determine if there was a coordinated effort to hide Biden’s condition from the public.

In the subpoena letter, Comer said O’Connor is required to appear for a deposition on June 27, accusing him of possibly contributing to a cover-up.

O’Connor’s attorney previously declined a voluntary request, citing D.C. medical confidentiality laws and American Medical Association ethics. Comer rejected those defenses, labeling them “improper and illegitimate,” and argued that written responses are inadequate for congressional oversight.
