Munich, Germany — Hillary Clinton accused the Trump administration of engaging in a “cover-up” over the release of Jeffrey Epstein-related documents, while arguing that she and former President Bill Clinton are being compelled to testify before Congress to divert scrutiny from Donald Trump.

In an interview with the BBC at the Munich Security Conference, Clinton said the Justice Department was “slow-walking” the release of roughly 3 million remaining files tied to Epstein’s crimes. She urged officials to “get the files out,” calling for full transparency.

The Clintons are scheduled to give sworn depositions before the House Oversight Committee later this month. Hillary Clinton said other witnesses were allowed to submit written statements under oath, but that she and her husband were being singled out. “Why do they want to pull us into this? To divert attention from President Trump,” she said.

Trump, who is referenced numerous times in released files, said he had been “totally exonerated” and dismissed Clinton’s remarks.

Bill Clinton appears in some of the released records but has denied wrongdoing and says he cut ties with Epstein after learning of his crimes. Both Clintons have called for public hearings and full disclosure of all files.
