Kevin Roberts, President of The Heritage Foundation, stated on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” podcast that the Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity could ignite a “second American Revolution.” Roberts asserted this revolution would “remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.”
“In spite of all this nonsense from the left, we are going to win. We’re in the process of taking this country back. No one in the audience should be despairing,” Roberts said. “And in spite of all of the injustice, we are going to prevail.”
Roberts emphasized the ruling’s significance by referencing Alexander Hamilton’s Federalist No. 70, advocating for a strong executive leader. He noted, “Any president having to second-guess every decision they’re making in their official capacity, you couldn’t have the republic that you just described.”
The Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, a conservative blueprint for potential Trump reelection, aims to advance right-wing policies and expand presidential powers. Critics label it authoritarian and “un-American.”
The Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision grants presidents absolute immunity for actions within core responsibilities and “presumptive immunity” for other official acts. Republicans praised the ruling, while Democrats argued it allows presidents to act with impunity, contradicting constitutional intentions.
