Former Vice President Kamala Harris said she is “possibly” considering another run for the White House, telling the BBC she believes there will be a woman president “in her grandnieces’ lifetime.” Speaking on Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, Harris reflected on her failed 2024 campaign, saying her late start made victory nearly impossible and that her team was “devastated” by the loss.

Harris criticized President Donald Trump, calling him a “tyrant” and claiming he had “weaponized the Department of Justice,” citing ABC’s suspension of comedian Jimmy Kimmel following criticism of Trump. The White House dismissed her comments, with spokesperson Abigail Jackson saying Americans had “rejected her absurd lies.”

The interview, tied to Harris’s new book 107 Days, revisited internal Democratic frustration over President Biden’s delayed withdrawal from the 2024 race. Harris said she had “no regrets” and continues to view public service as her life’s work. “I am not done,” she told the BBC. “It’s in my bones.”
