Vice President Kamala Harris holds a significant lead over former President Donald Trump among Hispanic voters in North Carolina, according to a new TelevisaUnivision poll. The survey shows Harris with 56% support compared to Trump’s 34%, while 8% of respondents favor another candidate and 2% remain undecided.
Despite Harris’ 22-point lead, the poll reveals that 44% of Hispanic voters in the state are still uncertain about their choice for president. Additionally, 48% of Hispanic voters are registered as independents, indicating that both parties have work to do in securing their votes.
Notably, Trump supporters display more enthusiasm (72%) for their candidate than Harris supporters (66%). The poll also found that 58% of Hispanic voters are at least “somewhat willing” to support the Democratic nominee, while 45% expressed similar sentiments for Trump. Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. also garnered some support, with 38% of Hispanic voters willing to consider him.
The TelevisaUnivision poll was conducted between August 1-12 among 457 Hispanic voters in North Carolina and has a margin of error of 4.7 percentage points.
