Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign released a memo criticizing former President Donald Trump for “flip-flopping” on various policy positions, accusing him of shifting his stances in contrast to his record as president. The memo highlights recent policy proposals by Trump, including support for recreational marijuana legalization and government-funded in vitro fertilization (IVF), which the Harris campaign claims contradict his past actions.
The memo also criticizes Trump’s stance on taxes for tipped workers, pointing out that his administration previously implemented a regulation that negatively impacted service workers. Additionally, it notes the inconsistency in Trump’s and his running mate Sen. JD Vance’s support for expanding the Child Tax Credit, a policy Republicans blocked during Trump’s presidency.
In response, Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung accused Harris of hypocrisy, citing her own shifts on issues such as fracking and border policy.
