Republican pollster Frank Luntz warned that former President Trump’s debate performance could cost him the election in November. On “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” Luntz criticized Trump’s demeanor, describing it as “pretty negative, pretty pessimistic, cynical, contemptuous,” and stated, “I think that this will cost him, yes.”
Luntz hesitated before confirming his prediction, saying, “I think that, that he loses because of this debate performance.” Trump’s debate against Vice President Harris was marked by personal attacks and missed opportunities to address key issues like inflation, according to Luntz. He noted that while Harris did not necessarily win the debate, Trump’s loss was significant.
Luntz observed that Trump should have focused more on inflation and economic issues rather than engaging in personal disputes. He criticized Trump’s debate strategy, highlighting moments when the former president missed chances to address critical topics and instead targeted Harris and other figures.
