Raising his voice, Giuliani complained, “I don’t have a car. I don’t have a credit card,” alleging his social security account had been frozen. Liman, who had previously threatened Giuliani with contempt for missing deadlines, warned, “Next time, I will not permit him to speak, and the court will have to take action.”
The judge pressed Giuliani on delays in handing over a vintage Mercedes-Benz convertible and other items, which the former mayor has since begun transferring, including his apartment. Liman refused Giuliani’s request to postpone a January trial over allegations he shielded his Palm Beach condo from creditors, rejecting it as lacking good cause.
Outside the courtroom, Giuliani criticized Liman as an “activist Democrat” despite the judge being a Trump appointee. He called the proceedings “lawfare with capital letters” and continued to deny wrongdoing.
