Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Friday accused top Obama-era officials of manipulating intelligence related to Russian interference in the 2016 election, claiming a “treasonous conspiracy” aimed to undermine President Trump. Her office is referring evidence to the Justice Department for possible criminal charges.

The report cites figures like former DNI James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan, and former FBI Director James Comey. The release also comes as Trump faces internal GOP tensions over the Epstein investigation.

Gabbard’s memo alleges there was no direct effort by Russia to change vote counts, a claim not at odds with the bipartisan Senate report, which concluded Russia sought to sway the election through social media and other means.

Democratic lawmakers, including Rep. Jim Himes and Sen. Mark Warner, dismissed the memo as political distraction. Gabbard’s critics argue she’s politicizing intelligence to support Trump, while Speaker Mike Johnson and other Republicans praised the move as a step toward “dismantling the deep state.”
