President Joe Biden is running “the worst campaign I’ve ever seen,” according to A.J. Delgado, a former senior adviser for Donald Trump’s first presidential campaign who has since criticized Trump.

On X (formerly Twitter), Delgado wrote, “Whoever is running Biden’s Campaign needs to be replaced – all of the top level. This is the worst Campaign I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been following politics closely since 2000.” She did not provide specific reasons but criticized the campaign’s handling of polling, stating, “The delusion (saying the polls are wrong) is off the charts. Instead of course-correcting, they’re doing absolutely nothing.”

Biden and Trump have secured their respective party nominations for the 2024 election. Polls show a tight race, with some indicating Trump may be slightly ahead. According to FiveThirtyEight, Trump leads Biden by 1.4% as of May 29.

Delgado’s comments come amid reports of concerns within the Democratic Party about Biden’s campaign. Politico cited anonymous sources expressing doubts about Biden’s chances of winning a second term.

Boston University professor Thomas Whalen told Newsweek, “Hard to say because there doesn’t seem to be a REAL Biden campaign yet. Beset by lethargy, it seems to be on autopilot. It’s almost as if the campaign is the first in history to run by AI.”

Both Biden and Trump face challenges. Biden’s approval ratings are low in key swing states, and Trump is dealing with legal battles affecting his campaign.
